Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT)
MAT Program Overview
The Willamette University Graduate School of Education offers a full-time (10-month), part-time (two-year) and online Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree programs for the preparation of pre-school through high school teachers. In most cases, candidates will qualify for two teaching levels upon completion of either program.
- Early childhood authorization: age 3 through grade 4
- Elementary authorization: grades 3-8
- Middle level authorization: grades 5-9
- High school authorization: grades 7-12
