Fall Semester Classes

You are undoubtedly anxious to sign-up for fall semester classes.

The registration process

Begins with you completing the Advising and Course Preference Questionnaire and submitting your College Colloquium preferences by May 17st. Once you have submitted these, you will be scheduled for a telephone advising appointment. During that appointment, you and an advisor will select three additional courses beyond your College Colloquium. In preparation for your advising appointment you should begin choosing candidates for your other courses.

More information on selecting your other courses is available on the first year student advising site. If you are interested in a language you must also complete the appropriate language placement process.

Course Registration Timeline

By May 17st

• Set up your Willamette Network Account*
• Submit your College Colloquium Preferences

May 16th — June 1st

• Complete the Advising and Course Preference Questionnaire
• Advising & Registration** will contact you to set up an advising appointment
• Read the materials on the first-year student advising site
• Complete language placement process

June 4th — July 6th

• Advising and course selection appointments will be conducted via telephone

* You will need your Willamette Network Account to access the Advising Survey and submit your College Colloquium preferences.

** After May 16th, you may contact Advising & Registration (advising@willamette.edu, 503.370.6573) with questions or to set up your registration appointment.

Kickoff to Opening Days

You and your family are encouraged to meet other new students and families who will join the Willamette community this fall. Current students and alumni will talk about their first-year experiences at Willamette, and Willamette staff will share information about housing, registration, Opening Days, the College Colloquium and other topics.

New Student Orientation Program
August 23-28, 2012

Opening Days is a five-day new student orientation program for all incoming students, which not only challenges students both academically and socially but also gives parents the opportunity to learn more about the university and the transition their child will be making. (Learn more)

Jump Start — August 18-23, 2012

If you just can't wait to get to college, Willamette invites you to "begin before the beginning." These Jump Start opportunities - NSOCO, Ohana and Steppin' Out - will enable you to meet other new students, explore the scenic beauty of the Pacific Northwest and lend a helping hand in your new community in a smaller, more intimate setting before the Opening Days orientation involving all new students.  Jump Start registrations are due Aug 2nd.
