International Applicants

International students are encouraged to apply for admission to the JD program at Willamette University College of Law.

In addition to following the standard JD application process, foreign nationals must meet the following requirements:

  1. All international applicants must take the Law School Admission Test (LSAT). To find the nearest test site, contact the LSAC at www.lsac.org, lsacinfo@lsac.org or (215) 968-1001.
  2. An international applicant must hold a degree that is equivalent to the American undergraduate bachelor’s degree. International applicants should contact the LSAC for additional information regarding degree evaluation services.
  3. An international applicant must demonstrate their English language proficiency to satisfy immigration policies. Read Willamette Law's English Proficiency Requirements here.

All appropriate documentation must be received and approved by the College of Law before the school will send them an I-20 (Application for Student Visa).

Willamette University strives to maintain a tolerant, inclusive atmosphere for students from all backgrounds and nationalities.
