Travel to Salem
Taking Flight
Delta's SkyWest carrier now flies from Salt Lake City to Salem; more details are available online at FlySalem.com. Please check their flight schedule as well. For other destinations, the Portland International Airport is located 60 miles north of Salem. The HUT Airport Shuttle offers scheduled transportation between Portland International Airport and the Red Lion Hotel in Salem (located on Market Street). Staying on Track
Amtrak offers daily north-south service to Salem. The Salem train station is located across the street from the southeast corner of the Willamette campus. For more information, contact Amtrak at 800-872-7245.
Hitting the Road
Greyhound Bus Lines offers full service to Salem. The bus depot is located about six blocks from campus. For more information, call 800-231-2222.
Getting Around Salem
Willamette University Travel Center has a preferred car rental code with Enterprise Rent-a-car for visitors to use while attending University events. Simply give them the code G24178 to receive the discount (and they do rent to drivers under 25 years). For more information, call 800-375-8007. For those not wishing to rent a car, there are several taxi services and Cherriots, the local municipal bus service for Salem-Keizer. (Holders of a Willamette University student/faculty/staff id ride for free by showing the driver their id.)
