Biography
Dr. Kenton R. Hill, a Certified Management Consultant, brings over forty years of public and private sector experience to his work as Principal Consultant at KRH Consulting in Portland, Oregon, where he specializes in assisting executives, managers and professionals in strengthening hteir skills in the increasingly important people side of the enterprise. In addition to the personalized, one-to-one professional development coaching, Ken provides team building, selection consultation, 360-degree performance feedback, career transition consultation and conflict resolution services.
Prior to establishing KRH Consulting in 1991, Ken was a teacher, counselor and school principal, a V.P. at Selection Research, Inc. (now Gallup, Inc.) and a Senior Consultant for Lee Hecht Harrison, an international career management and outplacement firm. His Doctorate from the University of Nebraska was followed by post-doctoral work in Executive Leadership at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon.
In the past twenty-one years, Ken has provided performance enhancement coaching for over 400 individuals and more than 70 teams, in excess of 175 different companies and organizations (from family-owned to Fortune 500) in North America and Europe. His clients have included Boeing, Intel, KPMG, Peat Marwick, Symantec, KRAFT, Kaiser Permanente, Penzoil and Precision Castparts.
Ken is the author of Smart Isn't Enough: How Developing Your Emotional Intelligence Can Transform Your Life and Career and KRH-EIQ, an online 360-degree feedback and development process.
Ken lives with his wife, Leslie, in Portland, Oregon. Four grown children, their spouses and six grandchildren all live on the West Coast. When not enjoying time with family, Ken likes to travel, read, run, play golf and tennis, and paint.
