“In the information age, the most valuable resources that an organization has are its data and knowledge bases. Effective management of information systems and technology is central to codifying and sharing data, as well as to discovering and applying new knowledge – both of which are essential for success.”

Biography

Henry Bi joined Willamette University in Fall 2009.  Prior to Willamette, he has been an Assistant Professor of Supply Chain and Information Systems in the Smeal College of Business at the Pennsylvania State University for five years.  He also has work experience with Xerox Corporation in Rochester, NY and with an import/export company in China.

Henry has taught courses in the areas of information systems management and operations management at the Pennsylvania State University as well as at the University of Arizona when he was a doctoral student.  He won an award for outstanding teaching at the University of Arizona.

His research focuses on business process management, with emphasis on modeling, analyzing, and improving business processes.  He has published papers in academic journals and international conferences.

Henry is a member of the Association for Information Systems (AIS).
