Ashley Nixon is an Assistant Professor of Human Resources and Organizational Behavior at Atkinson Graduate School of Management. She teaches courses in human resources and organizational dynamics, HR principles and practices, training and development, and compensation and rewards.

Ashley's primary research interest falls under the umbrella of occupational stress, including job stressors, employee strains and well-being, and moderators of the stressor-strain process. Her research has appeared in Work & Stress, Human Performance, Stress & Health, American Journal of Evaluation, and Journal of Counseling Psychology and numerous conference proceedings including the Academy of Management and Work, Stress, and Health. Her research has been funded by the National Institute of Occupational Health and Safety.

Ashley completed her M.A. and Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at the University of South Florida in 2011. She completed her B.S. in Psychology, with honors, from the University of Florida, where she was a member of numerous honor societies.

In her free time, Ashley enjoys hiking, kayaking, and playing tennis very poorly. She loves to travel internationally, read fiction, visit museums, hear great music, and use Oxford commas.
