Professor Lisbeth Claus Receives "Distinguished Member Award" from the Northwest Human Resource Management Association (NHRMA)

October 4, 2007 – Bellevue, WASH. – The Northwest Human Resource Management Association (NHRMA) presented Willamette University’s Lisbeth Claus with their Distinguished Member Award for her years of service to the human resources profession. Claus received the award at NHRMA’s 69th annual Conference and Expo in Bellevue, Washington.

“I am honored to receive this award as a practitioner and researcher in the HR profession,” Claus said. “It recognizes the importance of human resource management on a global scale, especially as we face a new economy of challenges and opportunities.”

Claus is an Associate Professor for Global HR at Willamette University’s Atkinson Graduate School of Management. She has delivered numerous presentations on global HR certification and practices around the world, most recently for several Chinese firms and for the Chartered Institute for Professional Development Conference (CIPD) in the United Kingdom.

The Northwest Human Resource Management Association is a regional association of professional Human Resource association chapters affiliated with the Society for Human Resource Management. NHRMA consists of 28 chapters in the states of Alaska, Oregon, and Washington and represents more than 7,900 Human Resource professionals in the Pacific Northwest.
