Lifelong Learning

When You're a Willamette MBA - You Are an MBA for Life

Willamette MBA alumni are leaders, innovators and transformers in organizations large and small, all over the world. The tools learned at the Atkinson School include timeless management principles that are applied and used on a daily basis.

As the business world changes, the Willamette MBA faculty recognize that course elements must also adapt to reflect the needs of the employers of our graduates. Alumni are taking on exciting roles with new responsibilities that require fresh insights and ideas - and that's the driving force behind the Willamette MBA for Life.

For Willamette MBA alumni, the Atkinson Graduate School of Management offers the MBA for Life program to encourage lifelong learning and the opportunity to connect with and learn from faculty and fellow graduates across sectors and industries. The Atkinson School’s innovative curriculum and market-focused courses are an excellent fit for those making career transitions or seeking career advancement.  Additionally, earning a Willamette MBA is a lifelong relationship that continues to deliver a return on investment for years to come.

Lifelong Access to Courses, Free of Charge

Wish you had taken more finance courses? Are there new trends in marketing you'd like to learn about? As part of the MBA for Life program, Willamette MBA alumni may register for select courses in the MBA for Early Career and Career Change (ECCC - full-time program) or MBA for Professionals (MBA-P evening program) free of charge for life (see program details page for specific points).  Graduates who take advantage of this benefit commit to attending class and following all the rules of a regular student - you will complete all assignments and your grades will be added to your transcript.  Willamette MBA courses are held on the Salem Campus (ECCC MBA and MBA-P) or at the Portland Center (MBA-P).

More information on the MBA for Life program will be available soon.  Alumni may begin taking advantage of this benefit during spring semester 2014.

Willamette MBA Alumni Book Club

Interested in discussing hot topics with the authors of leading management books? Launched in 2012, the Willamette MBA Alumni Book Club offers all alumni the opportunity to vote on a series of books to review (two per fall and two per spring), followed by a conference call with the author.  Alumni from all over the world may participate in the Book Club and the books and materials are provided at no charge through a generous gift from George Hoyt, a Willamette University Lifetime Member of the Board of Trustees. Watch for announcements about upcoming sessions via e-mail and in ATKINSONews.
