Aimee Akimoff serves as the Director of Recruitment for Willamette's Full-Time MBA program (Early Career and Career Change). With more than 10 years of graduate admissions experience, Aimee sets the strategy for both domestic and international recruitment. In a typical recruiting cycle, Aimee and the globe trotting recruiting team travel to more than 50 cities around the US, and worldwide, such as China, India, South America, the Middle East and Europe to represent the program at fairs and conferences. Aimee works directly with prospective students as they consider applying to Willamette’s MBA program. As an alumna of the program, Aimee enjoys sharing about her own experience in the program. Additionally, Aimee also manages Atkinson’s relationships with universities and foreign governments for recruiting international students. Lastly, Aimee also compiles the ATKINSONews, a monthly electronic newsletter that is distributed to the Atkinson community and alumni network.
In addition to her recruitment role, Aimee also coordinates two international trips per year for Willamette MBA students as part of an optional one-credit course. Aimee enjoys traveling not only professionally, but also personally. Aimee has studied abroad in Russia, Mexico and Australia, has taught English in Thailand and volunteered in Malaysia, Laos and Vietnam. Her passion for all things global is reflected in her love for both ethnic food and languages. She speaks a little Russian and Spanish.
