We're excited to present a workshop designed for newly formed workgroups by the INSPIRATIONWORKS, LLC team of Valerie and Roger Pease. Moving through the stages of getting-to-know-you, acceptance and finally producing can be unsatisfying and energy draining. Valerie and Roger will lead us through fun and insightful exercises to jump start and maximize our engagement in the organization, at our work and in our personal lives.
Valerie and Roger combine elements of neuroscience, linguistics, psychology, philosophy and decades of corporate experience to deliver practical emotional intelligence tools.
Here's what you'll be able to take away from this workshop:
- Awareness of emotions and their effect on yourself and others
- I.C.E.™, a practical tool for understanding and managing engagement in personal and professional situations
- A model for authentic communication in order to arrive at trust more quickly in personal and professional communication
- Skills for more engagement in your workgroup experience
- Understanding of and appreciation for the differences in perspective * Comfort in leading with humility and approachability
Valerie and Roger conducted similar workshops on applying cognitive science — the science of how people think and learn — to workplace leadership for participants representing Intel, Nike, Wells Fargo, Adidas, Standard Insurance, Bonneville Power Administration, Columbia Sportswear, Kaiser Permanente, Hewlett Packard, and many others.
