Professor Warren Binford joined Willamette’s law faculty and became director of the school’s Clinical Law Program in 2005. She co-teaches the college’s integrated Clinical Law Program courses and the Externship Seminar. Prior to joining Willamette, she spent eight years with Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP in California, where she specialized in commercial litigation and transactions for Fortune 500 companies. A licensed teacher, Binford has focused on child rights issues throughout her career, serving as both a court-appointed special advocate for abused and neglected children and a foster parent. She also has worked with the International Red Cross in Switzerland, the Croatian Red Cross and the Japan Red Cross on numerous issues relating to child victims of war. Her scholarly research focuses on children’s issues and clinical legal education.

Valerie J. Vollmar is one of the nation’s foremost authorities on physician-assisted death. She has been widely interviewed by the media, including National Public Radio’s “All Things Considered” and “Talk of the Nation” from Washington, D.C. Professor Vollmar is an Academic Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, was founding chair of the Oregon State Bar’s Elder Law Section, is former chair of the Oregon State Bar’s Estate Planning and Administration section, and served as co-chair of a committee whose work led to adoption of the Oregon Uniform Trust Code in 2005. She received the Oregon State Bar President’s Membership Service Award in both 1989 and 2005. Vollmar joined Willamette University’s College of Law in 1984.

A family law and torts specialist, Professor Graham joined Willamette in 1977 and has served as associate dean for academic affairs since 1988. She teaches Domestic Relations and Torts. Throughout 1985, Graham worked in the Trial Division at the Oregon Attorney General's Office. She has written numerous articles and presented continuing legal education courses in both areas. She is active in various professional and community organizations, including most recently an appointment to a six member Professional Panel for Analysis of Medical Professional Liability Insurance. Graham worked in the office of Corporate Counsel for Pacific Gas and Electric in San Francisco from 1972–1977.
