Hunger Forum At Willamette
The 2004 Oregon Hunger Forum will be held Tuesday, April 20, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Montag Center Den at Willamette University. The event is free and the public is invited.
Presenters and their topics include--
- Kim Hoffman, Center for Public Health Studies, Portland State University, "Food Insecurity and Oregon TANF-Leavers";
- Michael Leachman, Oregon Center for Public Policy, "Findings on Hunger from a State Health Survey: the BRFSS"; and
- Stephanie Bernell, Bruce Weber and Mark Edwards, Oregon State University, "Poor Choices, Restricted Opportunities, Social Isolation, Ineffective Policy: Which Best Explains Food Insecurity in Oregon?"
Forum moderator is Jim Youde, board chair, Oregon Food Bank.
