Willamette Hosts Fourth Annual Saxophone Day

The fourth annual Willamette Saxophone Day features a free concert Friday, April 17, at 7:30 p.m. in Hudson Hall at Willamette University.

The concert features the Willamette Valley Saxophone Ensemble, with Andy Kronser, Richard Such, Greg Angeloni and host Randy Kem. Guest artists include John Cuddy on piano, Mark Powers on drums and Chris Gustafson on bass. The quartet's repertoire includes works from Bach and Haydn to Thelonious Monk, Bob Mintzer and Gordon Goodwin.

The saxophone ensemble has been performing around the Pacific Northwest for more than six years, including performances at Grand Vines in downtown Salem. Performances also include appearances at the Oregon Music Educators and the Northwest Music Educators Conferences. Group members are teachers and performers.
