Oregon Symphony Brings Film Music to Willamette

The Oregon Symphony will perform music from the movies Monday, Nov. 30, at 8 p.m. in Smith Auditorium at Willamette University.

Conducted by Jeff Tyzik and hosted by radio personality Edmund Stone of allclassical.org, the concert will include music from Spiderman, Pirates of the Caribbean and Harry Potter.

Since 1955 the Oregon Symphony, based in Portland, has partnered with Willamette to bring the symphony's classical concerts to the Salem community. Pops concerts were added to the series in 1975.

Today the Oregon Symphony in Salem presents a season of nine to ten concerts annually on the Willamette campus.
