Oregon scenic photography exhibit at Hallie Ford Museum of Art
Willamette University's Hallie Ford Museum of Art will feature a small exhibition of Michel Hersen's photographs Aug. 7 - Oct. 10. The exhibition will feature 18 photographs of scenes around Oregon, including the Japanese Garden, the Willamette Valley, Eastern Oregon, Crater Lake and the Oregon Coast.
Michel Hersen is a Portland photographer whose subjects include the flora, fauna and landscape of the western United States. A self-taught photographer, Hersen is a professor and dean of the School of Professional Psychology at Pacific University and an avid collector of 19th century American art.
The museum is located at 700 State Street. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 p.m. The galleries are closed Monday. Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for seniors and students. Children under 12 are free, and Tuesday is a free day. For more information, please call (503) 370-6855.
