In conjunction with "Critical Messages: Contemporary Northwest Artists on the Environment," the Hallie Ford Museum of Art will present "Art is Elemental: A Family Activity Day" on Saturday, Oct. 23, from noon to 4 p.m at the museum. The event is free and open to the public.

Participants will create art representing the four elements of nature: sun prints, garden tiles decorated with clay from Zena Forest and drawings with walnut ink blown from straws. Light refreshments will be available.
