Graduate students partake in orientation activities at Willamette

by University Communications,

Future attorneys and business leaders are arriving at Willamette University, welcomed with an array of orientation activities at both the Atkinson Graduate School of Management and the College of Law.

Ranging from team-building events to workshops, the activities are designed to help the 210-plus new students acquaint themselves with their fellow classmates and learn more about the rewarding and rigorous academic journey ahead of them.

About the incoming classes

  • The College of Law has a diverse class of 124 first-year law students, speaking 14 different languages and representing 66 different undergraduate institutions both in the U.S. and abroad. Prior to law school, the students worked as everything from radio announcers and rugby players to firefighters and teachers.
  • The Atkinson Graduate School of Management has about 88 new MBA students in its Early Career MBA and MBA for Career Change programs. The students come from 11 states and 14 countries. The MBA for Professionals programs in Portland and Salem also have strong classes, which start in September.
