Professor Peter Harmer has been awarded a $3,240,000 grant from the National Institute of Aging to continue his meaningful and productive research collaboration with Dr. Fuzhong Li at the Oregon Research Institute. This substantial award will cover a 5-year study on the cost-effectiveness of the evidence-based fall prevention program the two investigators have developed.
Their work over the last fifteen years has resulted in research awards exceeding $15 million and several prestigious publications, including a recent paper in the New England Journal of Medicine.
