Weekend Rides
Come out and ride with the Willamette Cycling Club this weekend on Saturday the 26th at 11 am.
Prof. Janeba will be on his tandem which will make it worth coming out. We're heading to Turner,
it's about 18 miles from the University round trip. It's a perfect ride before you go out to cheer
on the Bearcat football team and Scott Schoettgen to sweet victory.

Welcome Back!
First of all the cycling club would like to welcome all of the new freshmen that are joining us at
Willamette University this year. If you are interested in cycling, you have come to the right place,
the Willamette valley has some of the best cycling roads in the country, and the racing in Oregon and our
Northwest Collegiate Conference is second to none. Keep your eyes and ears open, we will be redesigning the
kit to include our new sponsors in the coming month. We will also start the Bearcat Century Training
program in the next couple of weeks to encourage students to stay in shape and get out and enjoy
our beautiful valley. If you have any questions or want a suggestion on where to ride see us at the activities
fair or contact me, Scott Larson, at slarson@willamette.edu or one of our other prolific members.

End of the year
Congratulations to everyone who completed another spring season of collegiate cycling. Plans
are on their way for Willamette to host its first cycling race next spring. Don't worry though,
if you didn't get enough racing this spring there are many races that you can do over the summer.
Check out the OBRA website to find racing in Oregon. If you
live in Washington check out WSBA website. If you have a
few minutes you can also check out the photos
section of the website. I posted all the pictures that I have taken and a video by Amelia. Thanks to everyone
who made 2009 a great season especially our conference director Bill. Keep your eyes open for the fall, we
are making many plans that we will update you on.
