Raising money for Service for Sight and having fun with our campus community
After a week of activities for the teams to participate in, including the Penny Drive and the Ode to DG, on Friday night Delta Gamma hosted Anchor Splash at Sparks Center at Willamette. With over 100 people in attendance, activities for the six teams, all sponsored by the other Greek chapters on campus, commenced. Beginning with relays spanning from basic strokes to "saving the DG" (one of our brave members was towed to the other side of the pool), the crowd was singing and yelling for their favorite team. Following the relays, the men representing Beta Theta Pi, Phi Delta Theta, and Sigma Chi each entertained the crowd with their synchronized swimming. It was determined that the Phi Delta Theta team were the winners of the synchronized swimming. The event raised nearly $700 for Service for Sight.
