A Message From VP Recruitment

Hello, and thank you for your interest in Willamette Sorority Life!

Whether you have always known that you have wanted to join a sorority, or if you’re just here for the food (that was me!) we welcome you to the process and can’t wait to meet you! Throughout the semester I encourage you to meet as many sorority members as you can and to try and keep an open mind. Informal as well as Primary Recruitment is all about being open to new experiences and meeting new people, and in our community there is no shortage of incredible women that will inspire you to become a better student, leader, or friend. Of course, with so many people to meet and opportunities to experience, there may be some parts that are quite overwhelming, so I would also like to encourage you to take necessary steps back when you need to and remember to always take care of yourself first.

Joining a sorority was a serious turning point in my college career, it may even be the best decision I made. The women I have met and the leadership opportunities I have been able to take have dramatically altered my life for the better and I cannot imagine what my life would be without them. If you are on the fence about it all, I truly hope you consider just taking the leap anyway, because it may end up being the community you’re looking for! As the old PHC proverb goes, “Come for the food, stay for the friendships”.

Thanks for making all the way to the end of this letter, I hope I get the chance to meet all of you throughout this semester and during Primary Recruitment!
