Letter from Panhellenic Vice President: Recruitment

Hello and thank you for your interest in Willamette Sorority Life!
This community is a unique and special one; I encourage you to meet as many sorority members as you can and keep an open mind throughout the process. As the week of Recruitment goes on, be open to meeting new people and exploring new possibilities. During recruitment, you may meet people who inspire you and push you to be a better student, friend or leader. That being said, there are many people to meet and recruitment can be an overwhelming experience, so please do what you need to do to take care of yourself this week. As someone who experienced sorority recruitment as a first-year student, I can tell you that the recruitment process is well worth it, as you have the opportunity to meet intelligent and inspiring people in the sorority community as well as those going through recruitment alongside you.
This booklet will be your guide throughout the week. It has information about the events and the chapters on our campus. While this booklet does have a wealth of information, if you have a question or are feeling overwhelmed at any point during the Recruitment process, you should feel free to ask your recruitment guides (Rho Gammas). Rho Gammas are sorority members who have distanced themselves from their chapters during the recruitment process in order to help guide you through this process. They are a great source of information and they will be happy to help answer any questions you may have.
Finally, I hope you have a wonderful time during sorority recruitment. Please feel free to reach out and talk to me if you have any questions or concerns.
Sarah Freilicher
