To preserve the privacy of those who come to SARA, we do not list our membership on the website. However, if you want to talk to a SARA outside of the hours given on our home page, look for the SARA t-shirts which all of our trained personnel receive. SARA's are always willing to answer questions about sexual assault, so feel free to ask for information or to set up an appointment if you see someone wearing the shirt.

The below services are a list of the various organizations we work with or know of to assist survivors of sexual assault.

Bishop Health Services
Offers confidential health services to Willamette University students, with no charge for office visits. Students are seen by appointment, with the possibility of same-day appointments. Located in Baxter Hall. Open M-F, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Bishop Counseling Services
Offers confidential psychological counseling to students for a variety of issues. Students are seen by appointment. Located in Baxter Hall. Open M-F, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Campus Safety
Offers the opportunity for non-confidential reporting of sexual assault and other policy violations. They can respond to calls (503-370-6911) twenty-four hours a day, and their office, located between Lausanne and Doney Halls, is open M-F, 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Residence Life
Handles issues of housing as well as encompassing the Campus Judicial Office. The judicial office oversees all issues disciplinary action resulting from policy violation.

Sexual Assault Advisors
Non-confidential (with the exception of confidential Chaplain Charlie Wallace) Willamette staff who offer support and resources to survivors of sexual assault. A list of Sexual Assault Advisors is accessible through the Campus Judicial Office website.

Strength, Health, Equality (SHE)
Student organization that focuses on issues of gender inequality. SHE holds weekly meetings and puts on campus events such as Take Back the Night and the Vagina Monologues.

Students for Choice
Student organization that promotes reproductive choice through associations with campus, local, state, and federal organizations.

Willamette Emergency Medical Services (WEMS)
Student organization of trained EMS and First Responders working in conjunction with Campus Safety. WEMS can respond to medical emergency calls made to Campus Safety 24 hours a day.

Willamette Men Against Violence (WUMAV)
Student organization focused on raising awareness about the issues of men’s violence against women and to work towards ending violence against women.

Mid-Valley Women’s Crisis Service (MVWCS)
Community resource for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence, as well as their allies. MVWCS runs a 24-hour hotline and has a fully-staffed office of advocates for women, open M-F, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. They also provide trainings and educational services to the Salem community regarding issues of sexual assault and domestic violence.
