Text Box: Position Description President: Essential job functions: Ultimately in charge of all things SHRM. Sits on the SHRM/NHRMA board and attends meetings held once a month. Liaison with SHRM/NHRMA and SHRM AGSM advisor, Dr. Lisbeth Claus. Publicizing and promotion of all SHRM AGSM, SHRM/NHRMA, and National SHRM events. New member recruitment. Leads all SHRM AGSM board meetings. Additional job functions: Assists other SHRM AGSM board members with their positions. Represents SHRM AGSM at all SHRM/NHRMA events and National SHRM events. Other tasks as determined by the SHRM AGSM board. Vice President: Essential job functions: Assists President with meetings, delegation, merit award requirements, presentations, etc. Assumes President position if elected President is unable to fulfill. Additional job functions: Assists other SHRM AGSM board members with their positions. Represents SHRM AGSM at all SHRM/NHRMA events and National SHRM events. Other tasks as determined by the SHRM AGSM board. Secretary: Essential job functions: Delegates and oversees website maintenance and design. Takes notes and minutes for all meetings. Reports on the following meeting to all directors. Additional job functions: Assists other SHRM AGSM board members with their positions. Represents SHRM AGSM at all SHRM/NHRMA events and National SHRM events. Other tasks as determined by the SHRM AGSM board. Treasurer: Essential job functions: Responsible for SHRM AGSM bank account. Tracks SHRM AGSM budget. Works with SHRM/NHRMA Treasurer to obtain additional funds. Additional job functions: Assists other SHRM AGSM board members with their positions. Represents SHRM AGSM at all SHRM/NHRMA events and National SHRM events. Other tasks as determined by the SHRM AGSM board. Merit Coordinator: Essential job functions: Delegates and tracks the completion of Merit Award requirements First-year student Other positions are often added on a yearly basis.
