The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) would like to get to know you and offer membership in this organization. SHRM is a national organization serving over 80,000 members. SHRM acts as a leading voice for human resource professionals and is active in working with congress on labor and employment issues. Regardless of your intended area of study, SHRM can help you build a professional network that will benefit your future career. Human Resources are a given aspect of any business - big or small. It does not matter what type of business it is - manufacturing, consulting, financial, public, or whatever. Human Resources are a major part. As a manager you will have to manage human resources even though you could be a manager of production. The significance of Human Resource is felt more in a time like today when only the potential of your employees and technology give you an edge over your competitors.
