There’s
no mystery why recent graduate and Watson Fellow recipient Justin
Brown ’04 chose Willamette.
“I love the outdoors. I thought the program was terrific,
and the scholarships I received made it very affordable.”
As one of 50 students nationally to receive the Watson Fellowship,
Justin will spend the next year studying how foreign countries develop
effective local bartering systems. “These systems have been
an important resource for communities to preserve local heritage
while integrating into the global economy,” he says.
Endowed scholarships help outstanding stu-dents like Justin get
a great education and go on to change our world. You too can make
a significant difference for our neediest stu-dents by supporting
Willamette’s scholarship programs or by starting one of your
own.
