My word for Willamette is...
- Community--WU provided me with many opportunities to be involved in worthwhile and fulfilling community projects. For example, I enjoyed helping other students as a member of residence hall government. Student government also allowed me to participate in significant projects that helped people outside of Willamette.

- Balancing--Regardless of the set of skills and lacks one owns when arriving at Willamette, the balance with which a graduate departs, and the tools to re-balance as needed in the face of accelerating change, are a unique gift of the WU experience.
- Steven Fullmer '78
- Continuation--Great education, inspiring and continuing into later life. Continuing into marriage with a WU athlete (later to become a NY Yankee minor leaguer). Continuing with son's marriage to another WU student. Son to continue as a college prof and Dr. of Criminology--author and scholar. So the WU tradition continues!

Parents Fund
The Parents Fund is an unrestricted fund created by parents and supported solely by parents and grandparents of current and graduated students as a way to immediately impact the student experience. Reaching over $200,000 in gifts last year, the Parents Fund provides funding for initiatives such as new or upgraded technology, career services resources, and intramural sports. With one thousand parents participating annually, you are in good company as a Parents Fund donor. These parents, whose gifts range from $25 to $10,000, have found an additional way to impact the lives of Willamette students today.
Our tuition only covers 68% of the cost of educating Willamette’s students. The generous support of Willamette alumni and parents both past and present helps close that gap and ensures the high standards of Willamette University.
Parents are provided opportunity to contribute through mailings they receive several times a year, and through an annual phone call from one of our Telefund student callers.
