Willamette’s Graduate School of Education offers a master of arts in teaching, master of education and professional development programs.

Willamette MAT students can choose to study full-time, part-time or online, and they become authorized to teach in multiple grade levels.

The MAT program focuses on field experience — students spend close to 70 percent of their time in a public- or private-school classroom through student-teaching assignments.

That MAT professors and mentor-teachers work one-on-one with students to help them learn the skills they need to become successful teachers.
