Home Directory ("H: Drive")

Each student and faculty member has a limited amount of disk space on Willamette's network file server which may be accessed from any computer that has network connectivity.

Connecting to your Home Directory:

On-Campus: Map it as a network drive: lets you access it easily from your computer on campus
- Drive Mapping for Windows
- Drive Mapping for Macintosh OSX
Off Campus: FTP access. You can use File Transfer Protocol to access your home drive from off campus.
- FTP directly from OSX
- Web Browser (FTP )
- FTP Client Software (Windows or Macintosh)

This storage space is intended to help you store and back-up data for classes, projects, and academic research. This data is backed up regularly, and users are strongly encouraged to save any files you cannot effort to lose (your thesis!) to your H Drive for safekeeping. You can also set up a personal website on your H Drive

Student, Staff and Faculty home directories are limited to 2 GB. Guest home directories are limited to 20 MB.You can check your H Drive disk quota online.
