WebDAV on OSX 10.4, 10.5 and 10.6

You must use a 3rd party program to access your WISE Resources folder for any given course using WebDAV.

WITS Currenty recommends the program Cyberduck. It's free (donation based) and very easy to use.

Installing the Cyberduck program on your mac (OSX 10.5, 10.6)

  1. visit www.cyberduck.ch
  2. Click the link on the right-hand side of the page to download the latest version of the cyberduck.zip file
  3. Once the file has finished downloading, Open the ZIP file.
  4. Copy the Cyberduck icon into your Applications folder.
  5. Close the ZIP file
  6. You may add the Cyberduck icon to your Dock
    1. Drag the Cyberduck icon from the Applications folder into your Dock.

Installing Cyberduck on your 10.4 Mac (Tiger)

  1. visit www.cyberduck.ch\changelog
  2. Click on the download for version 3.2.1 (newer versions do not work on 10.4)
  3. Once the file has finished downloading open the DMG file.
  4. Copy the Cyberduck icon to your Applications folder
  5. Close the DMG file
  6. You may add the Cyberduck icon to your Dock
    1. Drag the Cyberduck icon from the Applications folder into your Dock.

Using the Cyberduck program to for connecting to your WISE course via WebDAV

  1. Go to Applications, choose Cyberduck (or launch from your Dock if you have a shortcut there)
  2. Click the icon called Open Connection, a new window should open
    1. At the top drop-down menu, choose WebDAV (HTTP/SSL)
    2. Server: type or paste the URL for the Resources folder of your WISE course(See WISE Help for more information on this topic)
    3. username: type your WISE username
    4. password: type you WISE password
    5. leave the checkboxes below blank
    6. Click Connect.
  3. You will now see in the main window of Cyberduck contains the contents of your Resources folder of your WISE course
  4. Simply drag and drop files into the window to copy files to the course.
  5. To delete items out of the folder: highlight unwanted items and press delete on your keyboard (or drag items from the window to your trash)
