About the IDC...

The IDC is a function of Willamette Integrated Technology Services (WITS). A major function of the IDC is to provide a resource for the Willamette community for exploring the use of educational technology resources within a context of sound instructional design. In addition to course problem resolution and course redesign, we provide expertise in multimedia development. Resources we can help develop include web pages, graphic design, digital video, CD-roms, Director and Flash applications, web-based databases and more.

We accomplish this by working one-on-one with faculty members to match needs to resources, by hosting workshops, by providing training where appropriate, and by developing resources that faculty can adapt for use in their own courses. We also develop special faculty educational technology projects, and we foster collaboration across disciplines and interests.

The IDC is staffed by members of WITS who train, direct, and oversee the efforts of student workers. The student workers are assigned to projects based on their skill level and available time. The students receive any necessary training specific to the project, increasing the level of technical expertise and experience on campus.
