Using Blackboard
BlackBoard is
a course management system, or in plain language,
it is a web-based collection of helpful course
resources. Entire courses can be delivered
in BlackBoard, but here at Willamette BlackBoard
is usually used as an course resource in addition
to a traditional face-to-face classroom. Once
created, Blackboard courses can be copied and
reused over and over again. A BlackBoard course
can be set to include a wide variety of resources,
such as:
- An "announcements" page
- A secure gradebook
- A Discussion Board
- A place to securely create
and/or take quizzes (which can be set to
autograde) and surveys
- A password-protected place
to store documents and multimedia
