Using Blackboard

BlackBoard is a course management system, or in plain language, it is a web-based collection of helpful course resources. Entire courses can be delivered in BlackBoard, but here at Willamette BlackBoard is usually used as an course resource in addition to a traditional face-to-face classroom. Once created, Blackboard courses can be copied and reused over and over again. A BlackBoard course can be set to include a wide variety of resources, such as:

  • An "announcements" page
  • A secure gradebook
  • A Discussion Board
  • A place to securely create and/or take quizzes (which can be set to autograde) and surveys
  • A password-protected place to store documents and multimedia

Please use the following links to visit Willamette's BlackBoard main page, request a new BlackBoard course, etc. If you have questions or need help, please call me at x6122 or email me at <cramerc>.
