Printing at Willamette

Computer Lab Printers
Black and white printing is available to all WU community members, free of cost, in most of the campus computer labs. For a full list of lab locations, please go to:
http://www.willamette.edu/wits/resources/facilities/

Web Print
All users on the campus network, including those on the wireless network, can use Web Print to send a print job to a virtual print queue on Willamette's server. You can then log into a webpage to release your job from the queue and send it to an available printer in the library or a computer lab. For set-up instructions, please go to:
http://www.willamette.edu/wits/resources/docs/network/webprint/

Copy Center Printers
Staff and Faculty may send print jobs directly to the high capacity printers in the Print/Design Center (1st Floor, Waller Hall). For information and instructions, please go to:
http://www.willamette.edu/wits/resources/docs/network/printers/copycenter.htm

Color Printing
Low cost color printing is available in the WITS Multimedia Workroom, or in the Kaneko Learning Center. Scanning equipment is also available in both locations.

Additional Scanner Locations

Printing from the Residence Halls
Students can print to computer lab printers directly from a personal computer by using the Web Print utility. You can also save files to your Home Directory, Zip disk, or Rewritable CD, then go to the computer lab, reopen your files on a lab computer, and print from there.

Students may also bring their own printers if they wish. WITS does not provide support for personally owned printers. For installation and configuration, you should follow the instructions that came with your printer. If you need technical assistance, you should call the printer's manufacturer (tech support phone numbers are usually provided with the documentation that came with your printer).

Printing Etiquette
Printers are a shared resource on this campus, and it is very important that each user does his or her part to be courteous to fellow users and to conserve paper and toner. If you plan to print using any of the methods above, please take a moment to review the WITS Printing Etiquette Guildlines.
