Abstract:
This document covers how to edit or delete addresses from the Address Book in
Pine
Editing an
Entry in the Address Book
To edit an entry
in the address book:
- In the address
book, use arrow keys to highlight an address you want to change.
- Type >
for [View/Update].
- Fill in
or edit the fields just like you would in the header of a new message:
Nickname: the name you will use when addressing the mail to this
address
Fullname: the full name associated with the nickname.
Fcc: the default folder for messages sent to this address (optional)
Comment: anything you like (optional)
Addresses: enter the e-mail address (or a list of addresses separated
by commas, if this entry is an address list)
- Press ^X
for eXit/Save to update the entry.
- Follow the
prompts Pine provides at the bottom of the screen to enter your changes.
Deleting an
Entry in the Address Book
- To delete a
single address, highlight the address and press D.
- To delete a
distribution list, highlight the nickname for the distribution list and type
D.
