Thunderbird
is very similar to Netscape mail and is a more robust email
client than Webmail. In addition to
basic features such as sending
and receiving email messages and attachments, and maintaining
an address book, Thunderbird also allows multiple accounts
management, message filtering, viewing of Newsgroups, and automatic
address completion during message composition (on-campus
only, with a properly configured LDAP directory). Thunderbird's
performance will also be noticeably faster than Webmail,
particularly
if you have a large number of email messages in your Inbox.
