JD Application Status Checker (Transfer and Visiting Applicants should use this ASO as well)
Below please find a guide to the statuses you may see on your ASO, as well as information about the checklist. Please also see our FAQ page for answers to questions you may have about the ASO.
Guide to ASO Statuses
File Incomplete - Please see checklist - The Office of Admission has received your application. This is our default status. We are reviewing your application to determine if all necessary documents have been received. Please note that if you have scheduled a future LSAT, your application may remain Incomplete until the future LSAT score is received, even if all other pieces of your application have been received. Please contact the Office of Admission if you have any questions about this process.
File Complete - The Office of Admission has received all necessary pieces of your application and CAS report. Your application will be placed in queue for review with the admissions committee in the order it was completed. The admissions committee historically begins sending decisions out in January.
Decision Made - The Admissions Committee has made a decision on your file and a decision letter has been sent out. We will not display the exact decision online, nor are we able to convey a decision by phone or email. You should receive your decision letter by US mail within 7 business days of first seeing this status.
Application Withdrawn - Your application has been withdrawn from consideration, either at your request or by the Office of Admission because you failed to complete your application or meet a response deadline.
First Deposit Paid - Your first deposit has been received by the Office of Admission. Please keep in mind that there may be a slight delay between the time the Office of Admission receives your deposit and when our on-campus accounting office processes your payment. You will receive a receipt for your payment shortly after it is processed.
Full Deposit Paid- Your second or full deposit has been received by the Office of Admission. Please keep in mind that there may be a slight delay between the time the Office of Admission receives your deposit and when our on-campus accounting office processes your payment. You will receive a receipt for your payment shortly after it is processed.
Defer Request Granted - The Admissions Committee has granted your request to defer enrollment. On rare occasions, the Admissions Committee may consider a request to defer by an admitted student. Please see the Policies included with your Offer of Admission for more information regarding the defer request process for admitted students.
