ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship Fund
Deadline: March 3, 2015
The ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship Fund is a scholarship intended to financially assist students of traditionally underrepresented racial and ethnic minorities. The fund will award $5,000 annually to scholarship recipients.
Alternate Energy, Inc. Scholarship

ASECA Writing Competition

National Federation for the Blind Scholarship

The National Federation of the Blind seeks to recognize achievement by blind scholars. This scholarship is open to legally blind graduate students and offers thirty scholarships ranging in amounts from $3,000 to $12,000.
Oregon State Bar Scholarship
The OSB Diversity & Inclusion Department (D&I) annually distributes eight scholarships ($2,000 per scholarship) for which entering and current Oregon law school students who intend to practice law in Oregon are eligible. A subcommittee reviews all applications and determines awards according to evidence of the greatest financial need, the students’ qualifications to help further the program’s mission, and other considerations. The program distributes funds to successful applicants’ law schools’ financial aid offices by semester — $1,000 per semester — and the funds do not extend beyond the award year. Interested students must reapply every year and provide an annually updated Financial Assessment Record.

Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans

The purpose of the Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans is to provide opportunities for new Americans (naturalized citizens, green card holders or children of naturalized citizens) to achieve leadership in their chosen fields. Each fellowship provides up to $90,000 in support of graduate study over two years in any field.
P.J.C. Lindfors Legal Scholarship

The Finlandia Founation National sponsors the P.J.C. Lindfors Legal Scholarship. These scholarships, which range from $1,000- $3,000 are awarded to Finnish citizens enrolled in an A.B.A. accredited U.S. law school.
Trandafir Writing Competition

The University of Iowa College of Law International and Comparative Law Program sponsors an annual world affairs student writing competition. The competition is open to law students and graduate students in all disciplines. The winning essay will be published in Transnational Law & Contemporary Problems, a journal of the University of Iowa College of Law and will be awarded a cash prize of $2,000.
Yanez & Associates Family Law Scholarship

The Family Law Offices of Yanez & Associates sponsor an annual essay-based scholarship. A first place $2,000 and second place $1,000 award will be awarded. All current and incoming law students are eligible to apply. Winners are selected by September 15.
Zelle Hofmann Diversity in Law ScholarshipDeadline: April 30, 2014
The Zelle Hofman Diversity in Law Scholarship was created for law students who either are a member of a diverse group that is historically underrepresented in the private practice of law or demonstrates a long-standing commitment to diversity. The scholarship will award a total of $30,000 to be applied towards tuition, fees and text books for the awardees second and third year of law school.
