Willamette Lawyer
Willamette Lawyer strives to be a thought leader on legal issues that are primarily, but not exclusively, of significance to the Pacific Northwest. The award-winning magazine advances the mission of the law school by showing how members of the law school community are actively engaged in the dissemination of knowledge, the promotion of meaningful discourse and the consideration of new ideas. Willamette Lawyer earns the trust of its audience through respect for truth, fairness, free inquiry and the presentation of competing – and sometimes controversial -- subjects.
Editorial philosophy:
We tell the law school’s story in the broadest sense possible. Every issue will reflect the intellect of a university magazine and the spark of a regional magazine of ideas. We do this by publishing thought-provoking content that meets the highest standards of journalistic professionalism and is reflected in well-crafted photography, arresting illustrations and compelling design.
We publish a fall and a spring edition. Please send story ideas and letters to the editor to editor Lisa Grace Lednicer: llednice@willamette.edu; 503-370-6760. Items for Class Action should be sent to Cathy McCann Gaskin, Associate Director of Alumni Relations, at wu-lawyer@willamette.edu; 503-370-6492.
