Willamette University College of Law teaches a variety of courses in public law areas, many of which qualify for the Certificate in Law and Government. Here are descriptions of the most frequently offered courses, divided into groups.

Externships

The Center for Constitutional Government works though the College of Law externship program to provide students with hands-on experience working in federal and state agencies and with public interest organizations. Recent and upcoming externship placements include: the Office of the Governor; the Oregon Appellate Courts; the Oregon Legislature; the Oregon Attorney General's Office; the Oregon Law Commission; the Oregon Association of Hospitals and Health Systems; the Oregon League of Cities.
