Susan L. Smith directs the Law and Government certificate program, teaching a variety of environmental, natural resources and government courses. She has more than 20 years experience litigating water quality and allocation issues on behalf of resource users, federal and state governments, and environmental and community groups. Her numerous publications address a variety of water quality and water allocation issues.

Robin Morris Collin directs the Sustainability certificate program. She is a leader in the sustainability movement, serving on numerous task forces and commissions addressing sustainability issues.  She has been awarded the Hammer Award from Vice President Al Gore, the David Brower Lifetime Achievement Award in public interest environmental law, and the Judith Ramaley Award for civic engagement in sustainability.
