Geren Island Field trip

A field trip to the City of Salem's renowned slow sand filter water treatment system on Geren Island, and the legally protected north Santiam River watershed that supplies Salem's water, will be available for participants interested in the interplay between water quality and water treatment costs as well as an example of the intersection between municipal and endangered species issues.
