Norma Freitas joined the College of Law as assistant director of Career Services in August 2006. Prior to this position, Freitas was a solo law practitioner in Portland. She is active in Oregon Women Lawyers and a former president of the organization.
Freitas worked at the Oregon State Bar from 1996 to 2001, where she planned and produced continuing legal education seminars for lawyers. She also practiced family law with St. Andrew Legal Clinic and Legal Aid Services of Oregon. Freitas earned a B.A. in history from Boston University and a J.D. from Boston College Law School.
