Helen L. Mazur-Hart did graduate study at the University of California at Berkeley and then taught at Lincoln Southeast High School in Lincoln, Neb., from 1972 to 1976 and at O.I.C. of Metropolitan Saginaw, Mich., from 1977 to 1978. She later served as a community mental health advocate for patients. During law school, she served as associate editor of the Willamette Law Review.
Following graduation, she worked as a law clerk to Justice Wallace P. Carson, Jr. of the Oregon Supreme Court for three years and joined Willamette University College of Law in 1987. She teaches Legal Research and Writing and coordinates the Oregon Supreme Court oral arguments held annually at Willamette University College of Law. She served as secretary-treasurer of the Willamette University (Delta of Oregon) Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa from 2001 to 2006.
