Aitutaki By Air

First glimpse of Aitutaki from Airplane:  The "almost atoll" is composed of 15 small islets contained in one large lagoon.  The turquoise blue of the lagoon stands out strikingly from the deep blue of the surrounding Pacific.  The lagoon is formed by a surrounding coral reef.  Outcroppings of coral within the lagoon can be seen in the picture on the left (they are the dark areas on the lagoon floor).   Part of my finger makes a guest appearance on the lower right-hand photograph.
