Historically speaking...
We met in November 1997; joined households in September 1998;
and publicly exchanged vows in May 2001 in front of 160 relatives, friends & colleagues at the
Unitarian-Universalist Congregation of Salem.
Then we were legally married under the laws of the State of Oregon
in March 2004 inside Willamette University's Cone Chapel, only to find our wedding (and that of over 3,000 other couples)
later declared legally nullified on April 15, 2005.
