- Your grade will consist entirely or mostly of quizzes and tests.
- There
is no make-up of quizzes and tests unless you contact
me BEFORE class and have a convincing excuse.
- At
the end of the semester, if you are between two
grades, you will get the higher grade if you tried hard to do
your best, had a good "attitude", asked for help,
and participated actively in class.
- You
can check your grade any time using the course
website and a password.
- Your grade will be lowered if you miss > 10% of the
classes. You will fail if you miss > 20%. This is TIUA
policy.
Expectations
- Do your own work; do not copy work of
other students.
- Use the course
website to check
your homework assignments to check your grade
weekly .
- Bring to class everyday: paper, your textbook, your dictionaries, and all handouts from
the semester.
- Drink beverages in class only in hard,
washable mugs. No food and no gum please.
- Pronunciation is a social
activity.
Work politely with other students. Come to class rested, groomed,
and with your teeth brushed.
- Please contact me if you have questions, problems,
or suggestions.
- Have fun.
