Final Presentation Guidelines

You will each give a 10 minute individual presentation on Nov. 30, Dec. 2, and Dec. 7.. You will need to have "visual aids" -- posters or a PowerPoint presentation, for example. Practice presentations are Nov. 23; be ready!

 

Some choices of presentation style are: (do not use a presentation or paper from another class)

  1. A traditional presentation.: Choose a topic, research it, and present it. You may choose one culture (any culture) or compare cultures. You may also research personal, not cultural, values.
  2. Conduct a survey of at least 20 people and five questions on a "values" topic. Compile and present the results.
  3. Invite and coordinate a panel on your topic. You must give the panel questions to address, as well as coordinate how the class will interact with the panel.
  4. Make a video about a personal or cultural values.
  5. Choose a movie or song and explore behaviors, values, and beliefs in the song or movie.

 

Scope

 

Evaluation: You will be graded on effort, content (accurate, clear, interesting, relevant), organization, visual aids, presentation skills, and English (grammar, pronunciation, fluency).

 

Topic

Each student will have a different topic. I must approve your topic.

On the back are some examples of topics. You may choose one of these or another topic not on the list.

Remember that whatever you choose, you must discuss behaviors, values and beliefs!
