Title: Lake Labish: Hydrology and Water Quality Considerations for Wetlands Restoration

Author: Jordan Rash

Abstract: Wetlands restoration in Lake Labish, Oregon has been an ongoing effort for the past six years.  What is not known is the effects of agriculture on hydrology and water quality relating to these restored systems.  Examples of environmental degradation as a result of agriculture abound yet no studies exist relating to Lake Labish.  Sources of pollution identified are the result of agricultural practices in the area and hydrology is affected by such practices as well.  Due to the lack of case-specific information, further comprehensive study must be conducted to identify the environmental obstacles to sustainable wetlands restoration in Lake Labish.
