My research interests center on questions about natural and human disturbances to forests. See the Research Link above for more information. I use tree rings to help interpret past disturbances and their impacts on forests, such as fire, climate and competition. I am currently looking for two research assistants for the Zena Ecological Restoration Initiative at Willamette University's 300-acre Zena Forest during the summer of 2011.
