Like Koch Island, the perimeter of the lake is infinitely long, and it raises a question: Is the perimeter of Crater Lake, Oregon, measurable within a given error bound? Serious math students should also note that the perimeter is continuous but nowhere differentiable like the surface of a fractal mountain.
